The building programme
Cantonal portals for Zürich, Basel, Bern, Geneva and Vaud, and the Zürich 2026 heat-pump amounts already printed on the German list.
The national building programme (Gebäudeprogramm / Programme Bâtiments) is run by the Confederation and the cantons together. The rule this site repeats from the German pages is simple: file the application before the energy work starts. A late filing is generally refused. This website does not submit the form and does not know whether your house qualifies.
Where each of the five cities sends you
- Zürich: portal.dasgebaeudeprogramm.ch/zh. The building directorate’s 2026 programme, as printed on the German Zürich lists, sets CHF 2,900 for an air-to-water heat pump up to 15 kWth, then CHF 160 per kW. Ground and water are CHF 6,800 plus CHF 420 per kW. The application comes before you replace existing oil, gas or electric heating.
- Basel-Stadt: portal.dasgebaeudeprogramm.ch/bs. The German page does not treat this as a municipal trade licence, and it does not repeat a “maximum 40%” sentence.
- Bern: weu.be.ch, the Office for the Environment and Energy.
- Geneva: Programme Bâtiments, ge.ch. The German page does not repeat a 14-day deadline as a current official figure.
- Lausanne / Vaud: vd.ch, environment and energy.
A Zürich leaflet does not apply to a house in Geneva because a Geneva business appears on a list. Read the canton where the building stands. A GEAK certificate is often part of the file; see GEAK.
