Gardeners
How to contact a gardener
There is no national hourly rate on the German garden lists. Words for a cut and for green waste, and a message that describes access.
The German garden lists say there is no national hourly flat rate on this site. Area, access and disposal are lines on the quote after a visit. The English cards repeat the same businesses and do not add a rate.
Words
- Gartenbau / paysagisme — landscaping
- Schnitt / taille — pruning
- Hecke / haie — hedge
- Grünabfuhr, Entsorgung / évacuation des déchets verts — green waste
- Zugang / accès — access
- Terrasse, Belag / terrasse, revêtement — terrace, paving
Winter pruning or storm damage is still a call you make yourself. This website does not send a gardener.
Message you can send
Send the German text in Zürich, Basel and Bern. Send the French text in Genève and Lausanne. The English line is only so you know what you sent. It is not a claim that a reply will come back in English.
German
Guten Tag.
You say what you want done, and you say whether the gardener can reach the garden without walking through the flat.
In a rental, the lease says whether the garden is yours to maintain. A fallen tree on the building is closer to the landlord’s duty to keep the property fit for use than a hedge you agreed to cut. Read who pays, then the lease. The business name can be checked in Zefix.
